Overview

When a family is driven from their village, their bond is tested as Süsen, a daughter from a shattered home, defies her relatives to wed her childhood sweetheart, Yusuf. Her father and brother desert the family, and the marriage does not deliver the hoped-for rescue. Now Süsen and Yusuf face growing burdens and must find a way to adjust—or risk losing one another for good.
