The Plains

Overview

Every evening at 5 PM, Andrew, a middle-aged office worker, navigates the bustling traffic of Melbourne’s outer suburbs on his way home. Sometimes, he gives his younger colleague David a ride, and their initial awkward exchanges gradually evolve into a genuine friendship. As they share the confined space of the car, their conversations deepen, offering glimpses into their personal experiences and struggles. Over the course of a year, this shared commute becomes a journey of connection, revealing the complexities of their lives and the bond they forge amid the chaos of daily commutes.
