Strange River

Overview

One summer, Dídac bikes along the Danube with his family, beginning at the river's source in Germany. As they travel downstream, he keeps glimpsing a mysterious boy, Alexander, who vanishes and reappears in the water. Dídac senses himself transforming, pulled toward Alexander and drifting from his brother Biel. Their mother, Monika, who made this same journey in her youth, slips into recollections of an old summer romance. Spotting Dídac and Alexander together, she urges them to go on alone. Yet as dusk settles, Dídac starts to wonder who Alexander really is.
