Overview

Six months after the devastating loss of Rikiishi in their bout, Joe feels ready to return to the ring. He impresses audiences with a series of five knockout victories, earning a shot at the national title. However, champion Tiger Ozaki exploits Joe's hesitation to punch in the face, forcing Joe's corner to throw in the towel. Struggling with his fears, Joe's girlfriend Youko, who runs Rikiishi’s old gym, brings in Carlos Rivera, a top Venezuelan boxer, to help Joe regain his confidence and aim for success in the boxing world once more.
