Seven Blessings

Overview

At age two, Marie was given to her aunt, a woman unable to have children—a tradition common in Morocco at the time. Four decades later, she leaves France for Israel, where her family has settled, to marry the love of her life. Her relatives, brimming with excitement, prepare the "Seven Blessings," a week of celebratory meals honoring the bride. But Marie carries more than wedding joy; she's come to confront old wounds. Beneath the festive gatherings, secrets surface, and Marie seeks an apology her family believes she owes them instead. This week becomes a bittersweet comedy of family betrayal, forgiveness, and the cost of love.
