Overview

Young Will Donnelly, still mourning, finds comfort in an unusual new companion: a goose that can talk. Determined to keep his friend safe, Will must outwit Principal Congreve Maddox, who has his own plans for the bird—fattening it up to enter a Christmas cooking contest.
