Overview

Set against the backdrop of a seemingly perfect upper-class suburb, The Chumscrubber unfolds a darkly comedic tale of disconnection and apathy. When Dean Stiffle stumbles upon the lifeless body of his friend Troy, he realizes there's little point in informing the indifferent adults around him, who are too wrapped up in their own lives. The residents are numb, often relying on various drugs to escape their hollow existence. As the story progresses, the absurdity of their self-absorbed world is laid bare, revealing a community desperately out of touch with reality and each other.
