Episode Overview

Jonathan and Mark join the staff of a football team to support player Alex Carpenter, who is anxious about being cut and turns to pills for relief. Meanwhile, Dr. Hickey, the team physician, is also struggling with his own addiction, supplying Alex with medication. His son, Neal, feels immense pressure from his father and secretly uses pills as well. When Neal nearly suffers a fatal overdose, Dr. Hickey confronts the reality of his addiction. At a support group meeting, Alex is taken aback to find Dr. Hickey, the guest speaker, alongside Neal, as they both share their struggles with addiction.
