Caribbean with Simon Reeve S03E10 - Rwanda

Episode Overview

Rwanda is a nation rising from its past marked by poaching and the 1994 genocide. Scott and Justin journey alongside local residents to discover how Rwanda is thriving today. They witness the resurgence of wildlife, from seeing swimming cows on Napoleon Island to trekking through the wilderness to encounter secluded mountain gorilla populations. This journey is juxtaposed with a visit to the Ntarama church, where they listen to a genocide survivor's harrowing tale and attend a tribunal for the accused perpetrators. The pair hears powerful stories of forgiveness and learns about the enduring hope that the people have for their nation.
