Paul Murton continues his loch-hopping adventure through Scotland, exploring the serene lochs of the Borders. There, he picks up dog handling skills at a sheepdog training school. His journey then takes him to the Moorfoot Hills, where he hears legends of buried treasure. In Edinburgh, he uncovers the tale of a Dutch-speaking minister who skated, and he embarks on a quest to find a lost river and two long-gone lochs nestled within the city.
