The Smoking Room
Overview
The Smoking Room, crafted by Brian Dooley, is a British sitcom that aired on BBC Three from June to August 2004, capturing viewers' attention with its unique setting. The show, which earned Dooley a BAFTA in 2005, features a group of characters navigating life and relationships in a designated smoking area. Following an eight-episode first series and a Christmas special, a second series premiered in July 2005. Both series were released on DVD and CD in 2006. However, due to England's smoking ban implemented in 2007, the show concluded with no plans for a third series.
