Wheeler receives a letter from his New York hometown delivering distressing news: his estranged father is seriously ill. Compelled to return, he finds himself reconnecting with old acquaintances, including Trish, who now calls herself "Trash." Unfortunately, she has fallen into a life of crime, working for a ruthless figure known as Vernomous Scum.
