Team Dai-Gurren sets out for Teppelin, the Beastmen's capital, only to find a massive ocean blocking their path. Crossing it means the Dai-Gurren needs modifications, so while the work is underway, the crew takes the chance to relax at the beach. When the upgrades are finally finished, the Great Gurren Brigade launches its voyage—but an ambush lies in wait ahead.
