World's Most Dangerous Roads S01E01 - Alaska

Episode Overview

Comedian Sue Perkins teams up with adventurer Charley Boorman for a journey through Alaska, specifically along the infamous Dalton Highway—a gravel route established in the 1970s to facilitate the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline. Here, road maintenance is a constant endeavor, with avalanche teams working year-round. As harsh Arctic weather sets in, they must lean on the expertise of seasoned truckers who know the highway like the back of their hands. The road rules are simple: keep the CB radio active, don’t drive faster than 50 mph, and when a massive 18-wheeler approaches, make sure to steer clear!
