Episode Overview
Geneva surprises Nicole with a new desk, which Mark is tasked with assembling. However, Mark's college buddy, Steve, drops by for a visit. As a sports columnist for the Tribune, Steve reminisces with Mark over burgers at Dirty Burgers. They both flirt with their waitress, but things take a turn when they argue over past girlfriends. Ultimately, Steve decides to go to the Warriors game with the waitress, Charlene, instead of Mark. After Mark cancels Steve's tickets, Geneva urges him to mend things. After some misunderstandings with Vanessa, Steve returns to retrieve his forgotten phone, and they patch things up. Meanwhile, Vanessa navigates various job options before landing a position answering phones at a doctor's office. In the end, Mark successfully assembles the desk, and Geneva loses her bet with Nicole.
