Secrets Unlocked S01E21 - Stonehenge Mystery

Episode Overview

Stonehenge has sparked endless debate: was it an ancient observatory tracking the heavens, a sacred cathedral for rituals, or a vast burial ground for the dead? New discoveries suggest it may have been all three, evolving over centuries. Early on, it served as a cemetery for elite families, with cremated remains buried in pits. Later, its alignment with the solstices marked it as a celestial calendar, while its massive stones and layout point to ceremonial gatherings. The truth, it seems, is layered—Stonehenge was a living monument that shifted purpose with the people who built it.
