Fran visits Maggie's school to speak with her Philosophy instructor and unexpectedly finds herself attracted to him. Seeking Maggie's blessing, Fran begins a romance with the charming Jewish bachelor, much to Mr. Sheffield's dismay, who struggles to acknowledge his own feelings for Fran. To impress Professor Steve, Fran fibs about her age, but soon faces the consequences when his astrologer suggests he should be with someone in her mid-thirties—C.C.!
