Episode Overview

Dirk, joined by MacDuff, makes his way back to St Cedd's Institute of Science and Technology in Cambridge, where he was previously expelled for cheating. His former mentor, Professor Jericho, has requested his assistance in protecting Elaine, a highly advanced robot named after his daughter, which is integral to his artificial intelligence research. When Elaine goes missing, Dirk suspects Jericho's colleague, Emelda, might be involved. Meanwhile, MacDuff finds himself considering leaving Dirk’s agency, as his girlfriend, Susan, has submitted an application for a position in Cambridge.
