Episode Overview
Max is taken aback when her mother, Nina, visits to receive an award and insists on staying at her apartment in an effort to connect, especially since they've never been particularly close. When Nina reveals she had an affair, Max reaches her limit and expresses her gratitude for the independence her mother allowed her, emphasizing that their relationship can’t be transformed overnight. After Max suffers a courtroom defeat, Nina shows up to support her, and they agree to take their time rebuilding their bond. Meanwhile, Kyle is baffled that Nina hasn’t even been informed of his existence. In another storyline, Khadijah discovers actor Dean Cain's wallet in a taxi and learns he won't work until he retrieves a lucky receipt from his breakfast on the day of his Lois and Clark audition. She insists on returning the wallet only to Cain directly. Tag: Dean Cain realizes that Burt Ward is a bit out of touch with reality.
