Travis and Callie's mission to apprehend the "minor smuggler" Strasser takes a dangerous turn when Strasser spots Callie. Injured in the confrontation, Callie's life hangs in the balance as the crew struggles to stabilize her using a malfunctioning cryonic chamber. With urgency, the Tulip heads toward Mars, hoping that Janus, Callie's long-absent father, possesses her "blank"—a dormant clone intended for organ transplants.
