Mary's school performance starts to decline as she struggles to see the blackboard clearly. Initially, she feels excited about her new glasses, but the other kids begin to make fun of her. In an attempt to fit in, she intentionally misplaces her glasses. However, her perspective shifts when she discovers that her teacher, who also wears glasses, has a boyfriend, prompting her to rethink her feelings about her own eyewear.
