Episode Overview

The Heelers are adapting to a new routine under Sergeant Tess Gallagher's leadership, but embracing this change proves challenging. Tess's modern approach to policing clashes with the traditional country methods that many are used to. When a suspected greyhound ring-in surfaces, tensions rise between the old and new ways of law enforcement. Ben and Jo struggle to find support for their investigation, with only the overly eager track steward willing to help. Initially, Tess is skeptical, believing that Ben and Jo are misguided. As they scramble to crack the case, all three discover that policing involves more than just catching criminals—it also requires empathy and judgment.
