The True Believers
Overview
The True Believers, a 1988 Australian mini-series, delves into the evolution of the Australian Labor Party from the conclusion of World War II to the significant split of 1955. Co-written by Bob Ellis, the narrative centers on three pivotal figures: Chifley, a dignified yet uneducated leader; Menzies, who once championed ideals but ultimately became self-serving; and Evatt, the passionate idealist.
