Tragedy strikes when her bodyguard, John DeLeon, is murdered after he recognizes criminal Frank Malloy, who is feigning illness as part of a scheme with a female doctor to steal Doris's jewels. Meanwhile, Hondo and his team are busy organizing a Christmas celebration for the children’s ward.
