Overview

In the summer of 2018, novelist Tanja Arnheim and web designer Jerome Daimler seem to have an ideal long-distance romance, moving between sweltering Berlin, the quiet charm of an inherited bungalow in the Hessian Main Valley, and countless train rides linking the two. Yet the delicate equilibrium of trust and distance these two highly self-aware millennials have maintained begins to crack when, on the night of her thirtieth birthday, Tanja suddenly understands that their relationship might demand far more than she anticipated.
