Overview

Eva Stone, a woman deeply rooted in conservative values, grapples with the pain of infertility alongside her husband John, a British politician of Spanish descent. For Eva, motherhood defines her existence. When a Spanish theater troupe arrives in London to stage Federico García Lorca's "Yerma," her old friend and director, Victor, reignites a long-dormant passion. Amidst new possibilities for pregnancy, Eva's true struggle lies not in her inability to conceive, but in the rigid societal norms that restrict her choices and self-expression, highlighting the oppressive nature of societal conventions in her life.
