Episode Overview
Jack's engagement to Jayne hits a snag when new nurse Tina Seabrook's careless remark about a man faking a fall to get hospitalised strikes a nerve. Meanwhile, Josh and Liz scramble to get expectant parents Ian and Esme to the hospital, only to deliver their baby in the back of an ambulance. Jason and Lou clash over her dream of joining the police, which he deems fundamentally racist. After they split, Jason spots a van parked suspiciously at a shopping centre—it explodes, injuring dozens. An elderly man watches helplessly as his wife succumbs to internal bleeding from glass wounds. Lou's minor injuries mask a brain bleed, leaving her comatose. Trapped under rubble, Ian requires emergency amputation as Baz and Josh race to defuse a second bomb.
