Episode Overview

A teenage sex worker, Lucy, is lured to a garage by a client and brutally attacked by a group of men before being dumped outside a hospital. Jack cautions George against becoming too invested in the case. Lucy’s friend Julie shows up, and it emerges she orchestrated the beating because Lucy planned to leave the trade. Lucy initially departs with Julie but later returns to see George. Meanwhile, Liz clashes with her husband John over her lack of time at home. A young woman brings in her elderly neighbour after a fence dispute ends with the older woman tripping. Sam mediates, and they reconcile. Elsewhere, a young man with a history of mental illness pushes his mother (Brigit Forsyth) down the stairs, and Richard and Kate persuade her to commit him to a psychiatric facility.
