Satoshi offers an apology to Shion, who is still posing as Mion, and begs her to look after Satoko during the Watanagashi Festival. Later that night, his aunt is killed. To shield Satoshi from suspicion, Shion confesses that she is really Mion's twin. Following police questioning, she is taken back to the Sonozaki family estate, where her grandmother demands she answer for the chaos she has stirred up.
