Overview

In 1968, Ernst Stein walked away from the stage, refusing to perform under the shadow of the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia. Since then, he’s hidden himself away in a secluded home, its wild garden swallowing the world outside. He drifts through dreams and recollections, untouched by time. But in 1989, a fractured society spills its chaos into his sanctuary. A parade of restless youths, drifters, and misfits pass through his doors, dragging the upheaval of a changing world into his quiet retreat.
