The Campaign (2021)

Overview

Viorel, a humble tractor driver from a small Romanian town, crosses paths with Mocanu, a prominent politician vying for a European Parliament seat. When Mocanu's car breaks down, he finds refuge with Viorel and his wife, who graciously invite him into their home. Facing corruption allegations, Mocanu seizes this chance to present himself as a relatable figure, playing the part of a down-to-earth friend alongside the hardworking farmer. In exchange for Viorel's companionship, the politician promises him a brand-new tractor, setting the stage for a campaign filled with unexpected twists.
